About board meetings at Alder Hey
Every month, the board of Alder Hey meet to discuss the day-to-day management of the hospital, colleagues and its children and young people and families. Our Board of Directors work closely with our Council of Governors, who are elected from our membership base, to achieve our strategic aims and objectives.
Our board, consisting of our Chair, 11 Executive Directors and seven Non-Executive Directors meet 11 times a year to review and shape Alder Hey’s aims and objectives.

Get involved
Our board meetings take place in the boardroom located in our Institute in the Park building next to our hospital in our Children’s Health Campus. The meetings run from 10am to 3pm and are open for the public to attend. If you would like to join a board meeting, please contact karen.mckeown@alderhey.nhs.uk to arrange.
